Keystone Steel & Wire
had a steam generating plant that was built in the 1940's. When it was time to up-grade to a more modern and efficient system, they chose Xcell. The Design-Build project was one of our largest and included (2) 40,000 #/hr water-tube boilers, an 80,000 #/hr deaerator and 1500 gallon surge tank.

The Scottish Rites Cathedral in Peoria
had a boiler project that presented some unique challenges. We had to lower a 125 h.p. Burnham Commercial Steel scotch style boiler through an opening in the parking lot, into an old coal room. It was then rolled into the boiler room and onto the equipment pad.

Mt. Pulaski Grade School
had two atmospherically fired, water-tube type boilers that were the most in-efficient that we had ever tested. Having a combustion efficiency that was so low, our combustion anayzer simply not give a read-out. We have replaced these in-efficient and antiquated boilers with Thermal Solutions copper-fin boilers, that will deliver an anticipated 40%+ savings.

Herff Jones / Collegiate Cap & Gown
of Champaign, Illinois, had an Abco twin fired scotch, high pressure  steam boiler that was their primary source of process steam and heat for the facility. As a back up, they would occasionally fire their aged Vapor boilers, which were becoming less and less dependable. The existing deaerator was no longer in service and was functioning as a boiler feed set.

Our task was to install a new Burnham Commercial 400 h.p. high pressure steam boiler, a new BFS Industries tray-style deaerator complete with variable speed drive pumps and a BFS Industries surge tank. This system will better serve their steam needs, provide a more effective deaeration over a wider range of load conditions and provide much needed dependability.
