Location: Pontiac, IL
The Pontiac Correctional Center has 2) Springfield high pressure water-tube type steam boilers that were built in 1950 and 3) Johnston high pressure fire-tube type steam boilers that were built in 1992. All 5 boilers combine to provide steam to the heating system and for laundry services. The original Todd burners and Johnston burners, had out-lived their efficiency by several years, therefore all 5) boilers have been retro-fitted with Riello burners.
The Springfield boilers were equipped with Riello RS 1200 E/V’s that include Variable Speed Drive blower motors, Siemens LMV-5 linkage-less controls and Combustion Technologies Furnace Pressure Regulation systems. The Johnston scotch boilers were equipped with Riello RS 190 E’s that included the Siemens LMV-5 linkage-less controls.
All 5) boilers have touch screen based HMI’s and are connected to a centrally located Boiler Master Control touch screen.
